The house designed by Ignatius Bonomi sits within 6 acres of delightful gardens and boasts many specialist trees and shrubs plus a croquet lawn for anyone wanting a little gentle exercise! The house decorated to an extremely high standard has four en-suite bedrooms all enjoying outstanding views of the Lake District and the hills of the northern Pennine range where we are within easy reach of the Lady Anne Clifford walk to name just one of the many delightful walks in the area.The Settle to Carlisle railway can be picked up at Appleby where the old steam train runs regularily.There are several excellant Golf courses both in Appleby and Penrith and the surrounding area.Game and Clay pidgeon shooting is also a popular sport in the area .There are also many good hostelries one of the best being in our own village just an easy stroll away!Inspected by Cumbria Tourism AIAS awarded commended.
